I live in navan co. meath which is a small enough town in Ireland. Tonight Fun Loving Criminals are playing, I no there not the biggest band in the world but it's the biggest name by a long way thats played here.
Has pistonheads got any simular stories.

Holmfirth (where Last of the Summer wine was filmed) gets a few big name acts which is always surprising. Its just some small mill town village place in the hills outside Huddersfield!

Oddly enough I saw the Fun Lovin Criminals there... had to see them at the Manchester Academy this time around though.

I come from Skipton, nobody decent ever played there, just local crooners and black lace tribute bands.

I occasionally do a bit of guitar tech for some friends of mine in a band. They're not big over here, but have had some success on the continent. The summer before last we did a tour of the south of Italy. God only knows why but the booking agent had us doing municipal festivals in tiny hilltop villages. That was really bizarre.

I saw TFLC on Skye in 2006 (I think).
Brilliant.

I saw them this tour, very good they are too! Shame the crowd seemed to be ageing and not so into the idea of bopping around to Scooby Snacks...
