OK, perhaps it is just me but I have found, what I now consider, three great bands. All been around for ages are great live. No issue with waiting for new albums or songs, as between them they have hundreds. What do you reckon...

First up is a Finnish lot called Nightwish. I have found an awesome concert at:

Next comes a German bunch called Blind Guardian (corney, I know, but give it a shot). Again, an awesome concert (and other stuff) at:

Finally, the heavy one. Called Iced Earth, and have been through a few lineup changes. However, there are some awesome bits and bobs out there.
Dracula - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj5JSYiNrcc
Melancholy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGzmXUCnxrE&fea...
both do it for me.

So, do I have YouTube to thank here, or have I just become odd and twisted through listning to random stuff while working late at night...?
