Any Punk Suggestions?
Discussion
When I was a bit younger (mid nineties to early noughties), I used to listen to a lot of punk and have lately started getting back in to it, so much so I've listened to Tiger Army and The Nerve Agents non stop for the past week or so.
So, are there any new Punk bands worth listening to?

Cheers for the suggestions everyone, I used to listen to punk religiously, so a lot of the older bands suggested I was already aware of (some of them I've never given a proper listen to). I was really wondering if there had been any good Punk bands in the last 8 or so years, as from an outsider the scene doesn't look like its changed much for the better since 96-00.

Changed for the better..? Not sure about that, there's lots of formula, D-Beat Discharge copyists around but there's also some corking good bands cranking it out at the mo'. Baby Judas
Fleas & Lice
Crimson Curse
Wolfbrigade
Hot Snakes
The Locust
Both still going...
NoMeansNo
Extreme Noise Terror
Some classics you may have (but shouldn't have) missed...
All
Dr & The Crippens
Doom
Tanner
Steel Pole Bath Tub
Rocket From The Crypt

Spot on, I’d say. The glory days of that punk revival from the States are long passed. You might want to check out Classics Of Love, the current band from Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy fame.
I still say the best band from that era was Face To Face though, and they’re reforming for some UK gigs in a couple of weeks. Supporting the Dropkick Murphys unfortunately, but I suppose you can’t have everything.

The Locust are a seriously intense live band! In for a shock if you're expecting "punk" though!
OK this raises a question. What defines punk? If we're playing semantics, Rocket From The Crypt & Hot Snakes could be called rock & roll bands.
IMO if it's grindcore, hardcore, speedcore, crust etc. it's punk.
I do think however that Miller17's suggestions of streetlight manifesto, random hand, sonic boom 6 & the king blues to be ska bands. (I blame
Melt Banana are brilliant too but then they're noise rock...
