Was in WHSmiths using it as a library whilst waiting for the car's service to be completed, and spotted "Classic Rock" magazine with a big feature on Slash's forthcoming album, which has been recorded with various others...

Ghost (Ian Astbury – The Cult) 3:34
Crucify The Dead (Ozzy Osbourne) 4:04
Beautiful Dangerous (Fergie – The Black Eyes Peas) 4:35
Promise (Chris Cornell – Soundgarden/Audioslave) 4:41
By The Sword (Andrew Stockdale – Wolfmother) 4:50
Gotten (Adam Levine – Maroon 5) 5:05
Doctor Alibi (Lemmy – Motorhead) 3:07
Watch This Dave (Dave Grohl/Duff McKagan) 3:46
I Hold On (Kid Rock) 4:10
Nothing To Say (M Shadows – Avenged Sevenfold) 5:27
Starlight (Myles Kennedy – Alter Bridge) 5:35
Saint Is A Sinner Too (Rocco De Luca) 3:28
We’re All Gonna Die (Iggy Pop) 4:30
BONUS:
Baby Can’t Drive (Alice Cooper/Nicole Scherzinger)
Paradise City (Fergie/Cypress Hill)

A quick trawl on the internet found the re-recorded version of Paradise City, and whilst I still prefer the original, Fergie's voice doesn't seem out of place paperbag

Could be interesting.

Are Velvet Revolver still going? I'm still hankering after something resembling a proper GnR reunion. smile

Could be very, very interesting. I never particularly got on with Velvet Revolver, should try listening to them again on the way home.

Not Slash, but from a couple of the other GnR members - Neurotic Outsiders. One album, and it was bloody fantastic.

Will check it out. smile With regards to VR, I liked "Slither" but that was about it. The rest was just wallpaper.

Recently found myself listening to 80s and 90s rock, so was intrigued when I saw the magazine on the shelf.

Big one of the year for me will be Soundgarden...

There's an interesting interview with Slash on www.ultimate-guitar.com at the moment, where he talks at length about this album.

I'm looking forward to it.

She doesn't sound too dissimilar to Axl Rose at some bits...

If you're into Slash I'd recommend getting a copy of the Slash's Snakepit album "Ain't Life Grand". Some top notch work by Slash, this was the second Snakepit album and IMHO was much better then the first.

Not bad that.

If you like that sort of rap / hip hop / rock thingy.

Not sure.

Would like to hear the Avenged Sevenfold one.

I like Avenged Sevenfold.

I saw Velvet Revolver live - they were good.

Tempted by Leeds this year - But i have a horrible feeling GnR will be a massive let down or not turn up at all.

Just found this thread after posting my own about Slash's album being released today. I see no reason for the new GnR to be called GnR, with only one original member and none of the seriously good talent of old. Slash has recently said Axl is "fking phenomenal" and would be Ok with making up with him. I doubt Axl would do it, but if he did and there was an original GnR lineup reunion tour, they'd make fking billions. I'd go and see them every chance I got, might even sacrifice the Panda if I had to
