Music or noise? My good lady hates it. As do many women. WTF why?

Oh please!?

Simply one of the most innovative bands of the end of C20. There are gems in all their eras.

I give you beauty.....

I love Floyd, but i do accept they are a love em or hate 'em band. You either get them or you don't.

Yep, she is wrong!
Even without drugs it sends you on a journey.
What a band, why Hi Fi was invented.

I think David Gilmours solo in brick in the wall is biblical.

At their best, they are absolutely unbeatable. At their worst, I can see how 'noise' may be a fair accusation. Get her to watch 'P.U.L.S.E' and 'Live In Gdańsk' with David Gilmour. Nobody could claim they aren't something special.

They transcend generations like few other bands (I'm 22) and seeing Roger Waters in concert was magnificent. Mr. Gilmour is next on my list. Such a shame we'll never get to see the entire band ever again.

When I first heard DSOTM, I didn't like it. But then after a few months, I saw a video of them live in Venice. At this point I wanted to have another go at listening to their work.

So I watched The Wall as I was getting stoned.

It all made perfect sense after that.

Pulse: love it.

I'd proffer that one can not be a fan of music unless you enjoy The Floyd.

ETA: And Gilmour is a fking paragon of tasteful guitar.

A sweeping, simplistic generalization:

Women like simple music they can dance to.

Men like complicated music they can listen to.
