Ever since hearing the band Clutch on the adverts for the Xbox 360 Zombie-fest "Left 4 Dead 2" I couldn't help but investigate a little further...

I'm glad I did..they're bloody brilliant!

Pals of mine in Leeds who are fairly handy are currently working on a Clutch covers band. I'll let you know when they're gigging, Scott. Do you ever go in Santiago's in town? Almost always playing a Clutch record of some kind!

Ah fair enough, mate. I'll let you know when this Clutch covers band are up and running. I can vouch for the quality of musicians involved so should be quite decent. You a fan of Kyuss as well?

Gutted. Kyuss were compiled of members who later went on to form QoTSA. Still, we can't like everything can we?!

Aye but saying that, I'm not a huge fan of QOTSA either..couple of songs I really do like, but not what you would call a fan

It's odd how personal taste works, but unlike most from my generation, I can't fking stand Nirvana either

Haha well I was 11 when Kurt Cobain died and thought he was the bee's knees as a youth. Still like the tunes but they don't have quite the same resonance when you're an adult...

Jesus scott, I know I've told you all about this band in the past. You never listen to me.

First time I saw them they where supporting Motorhead and where way better.

I had 'Impetus' in my head for quite a while today.

I've heard maybe 20 or so other (more recent) Clutch songs and not really liked them though..

My mates all loved Nirvana, I had "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and barely listened to it..just sounded like confused, garbled, drug induced st...and still does rofl

Probably one of the best quotes I've ever read about Nirvana! I put Smashing Pumpkins on a couple of weeks ago - I was quite impressed with how they've stood the test of time.

For what it's worth, I think it was a Smashing Pumpkins song on the radio yesterday which reminded me of Clutch's 'Impetus'.
