Ableton Live Advice

Hi Chaps I notice there are a few DJs/home producers on here: I am currently looking into getting Ableton Live. Mainly for a few home studio mixes (ie not out live) and doing some studio re-edits of songs in my sets. One thing that puzzles me is the different versions: Live intro, Live and the Live Suite.

I was thinking of starting with the Live intro version and upgrading where/when necessary. Would the Intro version suit my initial needs? I did download a trial version of the software a few months ago and was impressed, I just can't remember the ins and outs of it!!

Would there be any other software more suitable for my needs?
