Before we go any further, it's vintage as in trev Wilkinson, not vintage as in ancient..

My local musick shoppe has a 2nd hand(3-4 yrs old) vintage strat. Maple top, MOP-stlye scratch plate. Looks in mint cond, apart from a couple of very minor scratches and 1 little ding on the back. Haven't played it yet, so don't know what it sounds like. Apparently it was a trade-in

But, it is a lefty, which for me is important.

Price was £150, but he said he'd drop to £135.

Now, should i buy it, second hand and all, or save a few more pennies and go for something else, bearing in mind lefties are not that frequent in shops, so hard to go in and have a thrash about on.

I've never played a Vintage but I'm told they are perfectly good guitars - as with most at that price point, I imagine some will be good and others very average. Best bet is to have a play, if its a duff 'un then so be it, you can always walk away...

Cheers
