Maiden have just announced the title of their new album........"The Final Frontier"

I'm soo excited about this!! biggrin: bouncebouncebouncebouncebouncemusic

However, i'm a tad worried that the name of the album might be hinting that this could be their last one.....I hope to god it isn't.

But i can't wait to get my hands on this, rumour is that it's a concept album on 'space'. biggrin:

Cool. I still haven't caught up with their new stuff, I'm up to Dance of Death now...

DOD is alright, a few great songs on there (Paschendale, Rainmaker) but you need to get yourself A Matter Of Life And Death. A very prog album. Hopefully this new one will be a proper concept like Somwhere Back In Time or SSOASS.

Either way, i'm a bit excited........just need to see if the Sonisphere festival start selling one day tickets so I can go and see them.

Likewise.

Wifey says she recorded some concert of theirs on telly the other night, so I've got that to look forward to.

Ah this is excellent news, thought their last album wasn't up to their normal epic level so hopefully this will be better.

Excellent! I loved Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son. Must give Matter of Life and death a listen!

Matter of life and death was the single worst album I have heard maiden play.

That includes Virtual XI...

Every song just sounded the same.

Shame cos Dance of Death was very good

I was also a little worried about the album's title, but can't wait to get it.

The last one I REALLY have to be in the mood to listen to, while all the others (Sans Bailey) I can chuch on any time.

Sounds like a sci-fi title - I wonder if it'll sound anything like Somewhere In Time!? music

Slightly worrying title, but hopefully it's just a space vibe thing they've got going on. I really enjoyed AMOLAD. Seeing as someone mentioned Blaze, anyone heard his most recent "Promise and Terror" album? The one before (The man Who Would Not Die) was bloody brilliant.

Wish they'd do more than just one UK date. I really can't be arsed to sit in a field outside Stevenage enduring loads of bands I hate just to see the one I like. Maybe two, counting Anthrax, although that assumes they have a singer by then?
