Need some new music and am lacking inspiration - help !
Discussion
Evening All.
Need some recommendations please - I like most (non-thrashy) rock music ranging from Coldplay (sorry haters ) to Muse but have really got in a rut of late and haven't bought an album in what feels like ages! (Got loads of old stuff like ACDC, Queen, Van Halen etc but need something new)
Any help gratefully received !
Cheers, DD.

Well, I'm not overly up on modern stuff, (despite only being 33), but a few of my 'most listened to' are;
Early Level 42
Van Morrison
Morcheeba
Greydon Square
Royksopp (Especially 'The Understanding')
Robert Palmer (Still cool to this day)
The Undertones
Simply Red (Stop sniggering)
Daft Punk
The Prodigy
Orishas
Pomplamoose
Cast
Meh, can't think of any more of the top of my head.

Thanks Scraggles - hadn't heard of that site.
Slightly off topic, sorry - quite partial to a bit of Eminem on the side - is his most recent effort any good ? Loved the Marshall Mathers LP (that would go to the desert island!) but the later albums never recaptured the heights (for me at any rate). Any thoughts ?

Herbie Hancock is always a good bet for something totally different.

Have a look at www.last.fm - a great way to discover new music, and it's free!

Try this handy review summary site, if you haven't already.
In terms of recommendations, if you like rock music then give The Hold Steady a try. Very highly regarded:
