Listening to this for the second time, the album is amazing, dark, just brilliant.

I wasn't sold on the first listen, going to give it another try. For me they were at their darkest with Mezzanine, first impressions are that Heligoland won't top this. I'm prepared to be corrected though...

Bought it for Mrs Maul for Valentines day. Sounded ok, but I'm not a fan of stuff that doesn't have guitars in it,

Have to agree.....first listen just wasn't what I was hoping for! Loved Mezzanine....hope Heligoland grows!

On my first listen i wasn't impressed, but second time round, Pray for rain, Babel, Psyche, and Paradise Circus particularly, all changed my opinion, just something about them that i cant put my finger on.

7.5/10

Yeah, initially it doesn't grab you like Mezzanine did (and still does). If you get the chance to play it whilst travelling down a near deserted motorway in the dead of night, it starts to make sense...

Well, it did for me anyway.

Editted for poor spelling of an album title. Worse than blasphemy!

2nd listen today, definately growing on me. However it's fighting for CD player space with the new Groove Armada album which I'm loving.

I think Paradise Circus is a future classic, an incredible record. It's also worth hunting out the Gui Boratto remix of the same tune. It's one of the most respectful remixes I've heard in a long time, beautiful stuff, just carefully increasing the tempo and phattening up the drums.
