Going down there tonight for a gig. Anyone know what the parking situation is locally? The nearest multi storey is apparently closed for renovation. Is local parking resident only, pay and display or free for all?

Cheers

Some of the residential roads out the back off the Stockwell Road are free either after 530pm or 630pm.Read the signs tho' as it can change even down one street.

Check Lambeth's website as they have a comprehensive parking zone map.

I'm not sad, I just work there from time to time. laugh

Went to a gig there, my mate gf parked up in a residential not too far away. Came back to find a few cars had the windows stoved in (nothing stolen though). So don't leave things on display, yadda yadda

Not the nicest of areas to leave a car. Where are you travelling from? The station/tube is only a few minutes walk.

Could do tube but travelling with others who are not so keen plus flipping cold for hanging around down there late at night

I must admit that it is indeed not the nicest area. You should try getting a night bus in the Stockwell Road at 2am.

Luckily my car is old but when I last parked there I was early so I sat in the car till the free parking started and witnessed 2 drugs deals out of the back of cars.
