Whilst idly googling what my previous band are up to these days, (and I left them 8+ years ago when I moved away), I was surprised to see how many bands "in the circuit" locally are still gigging.

I appreciate if you go on to bigger and better things, a band becomes a career, but what is the average life of a pub band?

Anyone here who's been in the same band for longer than 10, 15, 20 years?

I left a band 26 years ago (name of 25th Street). They have JUST released their first album! Another band I played with in the 1980s (Cayenne) is still going, though we were doing over 300 gigs a year and now they do only half a dozen.

Longest I've been in a band is 4 years.

I've never been in a band which lasted more than a few weeks after I left. Not trying to say anything mind!
