Received an email from a well known online ticket selling company today;

"Download celebrates it's 30 years of Donnington with AC/DC confirmed as headliners for 2010. Also celebrating 30 years of Donnington are Them Crooked Vultures, Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones, Megedeth & Motorhead, Plus many more still to be announced."

As a veteran of 'Monsters of Rock' in the '80s this is a great line-up... music

It would be great if they were all on the same day (though very unlikely). It appears that AC/DC will be headlining on the Friday, so it makes you wonder who they've got lined up for the Saturday & Sunday headline slots.

I saw AC/DC there when they headlined in 1991 and very good they were too. I've still got one of the AC/DC dollars that they shot out of the cannons at the end of the show. Metallica,Motley Crue,Queesnryche ans the Black Crowes also on the bill.

Mind you it was Monsters of Rock in those days.

All this used to be fields you know.....

You'd probably be better asking on the forum on the website I think. We used to go in a transit & park in with the cars but it's probably different now !.........probably

yep cant wait for acdc, saw them at wembley last year. One of the best bands ive seen, and ive seen quite a few of the classics!

Also may not be your cup of tea, but a friend i know in the industry seems to think that rage against the machine will be making a surprise appearance. Its meant to be their 'free gig' after getting the xmas number 1. Not quite free, but i guess it would cost them a lot to finance a gig for a 100k ppl on their own

The other two headliners have just been announced. RATM on Saturday & Aerosmith on Sunday. I wonder if Mr Tyler will be fronting?
