Well, another year, and time for your next dose of Hard Cheese. This is the closest thing that I can say is a signature sound for me – and that’s not particularly a good thing! Hard Cheese is my take on House music, (being a die-hard Trance addict), and that can never be something good.... but bizarrely some people actually seem to like it?

As followers would know, I have been having a lot of fun with Mixed In Key, and proper set building within the set parameters... and I’m feeling a lot better about this one. Rather than building a set to a climatic finish, I’ve decided to build, release and start again – rather like waves peaking, rather than a tsunami... Works well for House, but I’m not convinced it will for Trance. Watch this space...

So here we are for the third instalment of Hard Cheese... Enjoy!

Hard Cheese 3

Sweet Mercy ft Rowetta – Reach Out (JNitti Made in Melbourne Rmx)
Mirror Cat – Key To Love (Fonzarelli Rmx)
Ministry Of Funk – Get Funky (Clubsound Rmx)
Sash! Ft Stunt Raindrops (Fonzarelli Rmx)
Jerome Isma AE – Hold That Sucker Down
Danny Done & Steve Smart ft Abigail Bailey – Doesn’t Really Matter (Hoxton wes Rmx)
Dirtyloud – Trash House Music
Mark Knight & David Ramirez Vs. Underworld – Downpipe
Candi Statton – Musical Freedom (The Shapeshifters Classic Rmx)
Audio Jacker – California (Torvill & Dean Rmx)
Haji & Emanuel ft Erire – Take Me Away (Out Of Office Rmx)
Niels Van Gogh Vs. Eniac – Pulverturm 3.0 (DJ Antoine Vs Yoko Rmx)

House is where my heart is Don (although as you know, Im no expert). What I like about House is the energy and the journey. My fave TCs (top choons wink) have always been ones that move all over the place...be unpredictable, so I'll download this in great expectation wink

Let you know how I get on smile

Fantastic Don! For someone who's aint into House, you made a damn fine effort there my friend. Really enjoyed that mix smile

A little worried at the beginning as it felt a little 'handbaggy', more Philadelphia than Parmesan but it picked up nicely, but never getting too 'hard'. Loved the way it moved off in different directions...think there was an intro to Bullet from the Gun (?) then just as you thought it would carry on predictably, it kicked off nicely. Kept finding parts of some classic tunes being dropped in here and there. And whatever was going on around 28-35mins was pure joy thumbup

Cant remember the last time I cranked the car sound system up to MAX and bobbed around with a silly grin on my face. I think I even did a few 'big box, little box' movements paperbag

Cheers! Puts a smile on my face. Have you tried the other Hard Cheese mixes I have up there - I rate them over this one...

I was playing this style out on Saturday, and we had rather a good time...
