I was pondering the "What songs are not on your musical radar that you love" and I decided to start this thread. Pretty odd stuff, but with raw talent, no matter how awful.

I'm not into my redneck pedal steel, backing tracks, sunglasses wearing poodle rock, but this guy is good.

Cheesy social club cheese organ played by even more cheesy bloke. Good organ skills tho.

I was looking for a vocoder to do Herbie Hancock impressions with and found this.

Quite a cool gadget and pretty interesting tune. Esp the vocoder beatbox at the end.

Not really an amateur, but you wouldn't expect this lady to be so good at the guitar...

Check this out wink

This guy has put all his youtube vids for this project on one page to make it more convenient. Anyway, what he does, is make music, with video, purely out of other peoples Youtube clips.
It's bloody clever..

Enjoyed the 2nd one - good tune.

It always amazes me now how the quality of home recording has come on. I remember recording and one producer said he'd like to try this new fangled thing called Pro Tools - he turned up with a flight case worth of computers and then proceeded to dick about with the great source sounds we'd spent time getting. He was using it as it was his latest thing and for all the wrong reasons - we binned the work that he did and used someone else in the end.

Now, technology is allowing some very talented people without the means to access the top flight recording studios to achieve some stunning results. Obviously sound manuipulation is a major plus but almost more importantly, it allows people the time to play around without having to be in an expensive studio.

Indeed, thats a good one. In fact I love them all! Also.. If you click on the top right where it says "More Info" you'll see that Kutiman has linked to every single video that he used something from. It's fascinating to see what he used, as some of it is crap, yet he saw something useful in it. Some of it is eBay video demo's, and others is just people showing you some trick they learned on whatever instrument.
Then all neatly sewn together by this clever chap! bow

Too good.
And to you Dub FX lovers up there, I take it you have heard Mr. Woodnote too (the saxophonist). Done some stuff with Dub FX, but his solo work is class too.
