The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again!
Fantastic - would love to see them live! I caught Audioslave and the highlights were the RATM and Soundgarden tracks that they played!

2010 is going to be a good year for gigs!

Absolutely agree, saw them at the MEN Arena, the RATM and Soundgarden songs showed the Audioslave songs to be what they are, average!

Sorry, i haven't watched the Soundgarden link, is Matt Cameron drumming or is he staying with Pearl Jam?

+1 Excellent news!

Would indeed be great if they did a new album, something in the vein of Superunknown would be top as Down On The Upside was very poor for their final studio outing IMO

So is 2010 going to be the return of Grunge then? With Alice In Chains making a rahter convincing return towards the end of 09 and now Soundgarden coming back, who next?

Don't forget Pearl Jam, too.

Has it really been 12 years? yikes

F-me, that makes me feel old frown

I loved soundgarden (and audioslave for that matter - better than Rage IMHO).

DoTU is under rated IMO... some good tracks on there, but I agree it's not as complete as Superunknown.

Pearl Jam went downhill after Ten IMO...

Both the above albums have their pros and cons, yet ogverall i like them both, probably preferring Superunknown. However, Badmotorfinger has always held a special place in my musical heart smile

Soungarden always were my favourite Seattle band.

I started off with the Loud Love EP(?), then Badmotorfinger (still my favourite of their albums) then Superunknown. I haven't got Down on the Upside so can't judge it.

Never a fan of Pearl Jam or Alice In Chains but have heard both their recent albums and rate the AIC one very highly, PJ's is growing on me after a shakey start!

It's great news. Chris Cornell still has one of the best voices in rock IMO.

This is great news, hopefully the Timbaland produced debacle that was Cornell's last solo album will be put very swiftly behind him!
