OK, I'm wanting to do a mix of the greatest Trance tracks of the decade - but I'd really like the tunes to come from you lot.

The only proviso is that Dogzilla - 'Without You' will be on there.

So, what do have for me? Alt F4? Whiteroom? Tiesto? PVD? Ferry? Armin? Mr Tate?

The floor is open to you, and it will be done by the end of Jan 2010.

I was going to say Sasha Xpander as it was one of my favorites to play out at parties. Although I just realised I'm showing my age it was actually released in '99!! eek

James Lavelle - In A State (Sasha Remix). The best dance song of the decade.

Not the gash "involver" re-remix.

The one that goes bm-ts-bm-ts-bm-ts-bm-ts-bm-ts-bm-ts-bm-ts with a synthy lead that builds up, other synth samples join in, loads of snares and a cracking vocal part.

Yep, I never remember the names of tunes. silly

That was a problem I had. The songs I did remember (eg Binary Finary and Gamemaster) were from the '90s.

Depends what kind of trance you'll be spinning.

I wouldnt mind hearing this in a mix (other than my own.. wink ) The Quest - C Sharp.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4nZFjumZ9s

Or how about some Agnelli & Nelson?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiAOlMeVNLw

Or another one of my favourites, Mind One - Star For Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-NRZjDftIY

Wouldnt mind seeing what you could do with all 3, if you have them.

Kate Bush vs Infusion - running up that hill
Delerium - Silence (fades sanctuary mix)...ok it was released in December '99 but it was big in '00.
Moloko - Forever More (Francois K vocal mix)
Depeche Mode - Only When I Lose Myself (Lexicon Avenue Remix)

Some of these are more prog house than trance, but trance had pretty much blended into other genres by thend excepting "euro trance" cheesey nonsense. I mean decent trance DJs were mixing breaks, house, whatever was gooda the time.

I'll have a look through - surprised that no-one has gone for Inertia - The Chamber.

Great - I'm really looking forward to this!

Must say Delerium's 'Innocente' in the Tiesto version does it for me, too...

OK.... So far the kind of sound I am looking at would include (possibly, so far):

Dogzilla - Without You
Inertia - The Chamber
Motorcycle- ATRC
Agnelli & Nelson - Holding on to Nothing
The Quest - C-Sharp
DT8 - Destination
GTR - Mistral
Gulf & Hardwick - Impossible (JOC rmx)
Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down
Ottoviani - Until Monday Comes
Selu Vibra - Stargazing
St John Vs Locust - Mind Circles
G&M Project - Sunday Afternoon
Kyau Vs Albert - Made of Sun
George Hales - Autumn Falls
Dreas - Havannah
Member of Mayday - 10 in 01
Corderoy - Sweetest Dream
Alex MORPH - Walk the Edge
CERN - The Message
Andy Blueman - Sea Tides
Whiteroom - Someday
AltF4 - AltF4

Obviously this means full-on hands in the air, reaching for the lasers, singing your hearts out Trance. More suggestions then please! I am thinking that this shouldn't be wall to wall 'Now that's what I call Trance classics', but rather something for the real clubbers to look back on and enjoy...
