i think, even though there has been many great songs in the noughties, i do believe they made a good choice there i could listen to that track over and over.

Do not click if you don't want to know the winner

The fact it won, its a nothing song, sounds like ten other songs released by similar bands. Yawn.

LOL

It has over 5 songs from Mcfly in the top fking 50, are people on drugs?

I don't know what I would pick, give me a few mins to see what came out smile

ETA that list, is it greatest rock music (or mock as a lot of it it) as I see a distinct lack of anything else?

I think there is some more food for thought in this list, it covers a few genres that were neglected by the awful list above.

I like Yellow by Coldplay, I like Stan by Eminem, there are a few on there which were huge songs, and really were great.

I think the other list above is a joke in comparison, its basically a list of Keane and Mcfly and Snow Patrol records.

Ok I'll admit that is probably the better list, but what its claimed as the number one of the Noughties, I would totally disagree with, I personally cannot stand Amy Winehouse, but each to there own I suppose.

now as impressive list as that was, you still haven't answered what you think to be the best song of the noughties?

Like I said above, I would maybe opt for Yellow, Stan, or The Pretender.

Or a few of the songs from Moby's Play album.. Although that might have been 1999..

Mind you to get Absoloute Radio listeners to acknowledge a song by Eminem would never happen.

Its not that I don't like the stuff in the first list, well I don't like some of it, its just so 1 dimensional.

Just watched this on Sky+ and it was really depressing when I realised I only either knew (or would actually buy) about 4 songs out of the 20.

I am old frown
