At the expense of Bah-Humbug-ness, am I the only one that has a pathological hatred of any and all Christmas songs - When they come on the radio, I will actually turn it off/over with a micro rant about how much I hate Christmas, the songs thereof, all Christmas adverts and the whole notion of the commercialization of the "festival".

Is it just me?

No, its not just you.

Although when it gets cold, and the Christmas lights come on...
I just can't help myself...
I start to feel this urge to sing...
And sing...

"When the snowman brings the snow..."...

That song makes me want to tear my own brain out from my nose with a large, rusty spoon....

I don't hate Christmas but I definately hate Christmas songs. I used to be largely indifferent to them but after the Christmas of 1998 when I was working hateful 11 hour shifts at a Dixons with the same, heavily scratched Christmas CD playing on f--king repeat all day they now bring me to a state of homicidal rage.

I had the same thing when I worked at Commet. When the manager was out one day we kicked the CD around the floor so it was too scratched play any more. Two days of bliss until the fecker went and bought another one!!! frown

Thanks for reminding me.... And he wonders why he is 'still standing in the kitchens at parties'. Its because you wrote a Christmas song which means people hate you more than Gordon Brown.. that is why.

Never liked them. No matter how good a singer it may be, I don't want to hear them do a cover of a Christmas song .. or worse, a Christmas album. Serious money-spinners, I guess but I can't take that sentimental tosh.
