I often look around youtube at live perfomances, from lots of deifferent bands, but this one really took my breath away. Just wondered if anyone had seen it before.
Never followed Queen that closely, but have been looking at some of there live perfomances recently, they were a great band were'nt they. Live Aid performance was great too.

Great band. Freddie was one of the best frontmen in the business.

The only band where every member wrote a number 1 song.

FM has been gone 18 years I think. Time flies.

Back to the subject of the OP - great, very tuneful. I sometimes think the Killers lead vocalist tries to emulate Freddie Mercury but his singing is quite painful at times!

Now, back to listening to A Winter's Tale on Youtube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is, I believe, from the 1981 "Queen Rock Montreal" concert. I've got it on a two-disc DVD with the "Live Aid" performance; digitally restored (could have been filmed yesterday) and sound via DTS loveliness.

Awesome.

For me their truly special live performances came quite early on in their career. Very special in the run up to 'Queen Live Killers'.

I just watched the whole of Queens performance at Live Aid on the strength of this thread. I grew up listening to Queen but I'd forgotten what a huge talent Freddie Mercury was.
JHC the man could sing!
The range and power of his voice is incredible, Kudos.
Major f**king loss he was.

Peerless indeed, and remembering watching this live back then just brought back some great memories, a great loss. I can't believe its been nearly 18 years since he died.

I am so glad that I was lucky enough to see them live in Newcastle in 86, they were absolutely superb.
