Give him a break.

Do you prefer your rockstars to be squeaky clean X-factor types?

You can't jail people for not knowing the German national anthem.

He's a tt of the highest order but this seems like a bit of a non-story to me.

Surely Ze Germenz could make an allowance though? Seeing as its Pete Knoberty.. Would anyone miss him? Would they?

A "drug addict" is a better description of him than a "moron".

I've met the man, and he was a true gent, came across with an air of intelligence.

I've heard that a few times, which only fuels my frustration with his constant fkwittery! Surely all these people have people around them to advise them on whether X is a good idea or not....This is part of a wider frustration I have with the idea that it's somehow cool to be stupid these days...what happened to being proud of being good at something?

This incident isn't really a big issue and you can see how it could be quite an innocent mistake.

As regards Doherty in general I can't really comment on wether he is a nice bloke or whatever but he is definately a drug addict, and one who appears to recieve constant leniency from the justice system because he is "famous" and that really does my head in.

I have to be completely honest, I've lived in Germany (Munich in fact) for over a decade, and whilst I'd have been a bit more circumspect, I wasn't aware that "that bit" was considered offensive. It's the one part that anyone growing up in the UK would be likely to know.
