If it's mainly material from "Sounds of the Universe" Then "Wrong", "Miles Away", "Jezabel" and "Corrupt" are ones that stick out. As for anything else... I haven't got the room! My Favourites include "Blasphemous Rumor", "Stripped", "In My Shoes" and I could go on for quite some time......

I went to see them for the first time a few years ago, 2 days after seeing The Cure for the first time. And although I prefer The Cure's music, Depeche Mode were better. Dave Gahan is a great front man. It will be a good show..even in an awful venue like the O2.

Here's a setlist they played last night in Italy. Recent gigs have been fairly similar, bar a few additions/subtractions..

In Chains Play
Wrong Play
Hole to Feed Play Video
Walking in My Shoes Play Video
It's No Good Play Video
A Question of Time Play Video
Precious Play Video
World In My Eyes Play Video
Insight Play Video
Home Play Video
Miles Away/The Truth Is Play Video
Policy of Truth Play Video
In Your Room Play Video
I Feel You Play Video
Enjoy the Silence Play Video
Never Let Me Down Again Play Video

Encore:
Dressed In Black Play Video
Stripped Play Video
Behind the Wheel Play Video
Personal Jesus Play Video

I'm fairly young, but after watching an 80s tribute act last month thought I'd get their greatest hits. It is a great album!

They are one of the eighties stand out bands with a back catalogue that just is amazing.

Indeed Violator is pretty much perfect, Songs of Faith and Devotion is a blooming good listen as well. The new album is very good (Sounds of the Universe) but as mentioned above they only play 3-4 tracks from this during the set so get yourself the best of albums.

They are fantastic live and cant wait as seeing them in Brum and the O2.

Was never a big fan of DM back in the early 80s (was more of a Duran fan), but of the last ten years I've started to appreciate them considerably more (I've grown up, but still a Duran fan!).

I can listen to Personal Jesus on repeat for the whole of a 1 hour session on the treadmill. Utterly fantastic track.

I should dig through my old CDs, sure I had a copy of Barrel of a Gun somewhere.

So only the very early 80's pop bit of their work then. I like all I have heard from Depeche Mode but Violator, Some Great reward and Playing the angel are my favourites.

Yeah, proper Depeche Mode. I even pronounce it correctly! I'm such a snob!

Some Great Reward was always my favourite, pipping Construction Time Again.

Violator is also good the whole way through, it took me a while to warm to it but it's quite a unique album.

101 is also really good.

One of my favories cassettes (remember them!) was "The Singles 81 -> 85", which I DID purchase in about 1986.
Now have it on CD - whoooo, modern technology.
