So was the latest poll in NME a pile of? Some good stuff... some dodgy stuff too.

Can't Disagree with No.1 Tho..

NME's top 50 albums of the decade

2. The Libertines - Up the Bracket

3. Primal Scream - xtrmntr

4. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever to Tell

6. PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea

7. Arcade Fire - Funeral

8. Interpol - Turn On the Bright Lights

9. The Streets - Original Pirate Material

10. Radiohead - In Rainbows

A more damning indictment of the last 10 years in music would be hard to find.

A quick top 10, in no order.

Chroma Key - You Go Now
The Album Leaf - In a Safe Place
God Is An Astronaut - All is Silent, All is Bright
Saxon Shore - Four Months of Darkness
Klaus Schulze - Kontinuum
Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire
Japancakes - If I Could See Dallas
This Will Destroy You - Young Mountain
Oblong - Indicator
Maps + Diagrams - Polytuft-Tech

I think this decade has been very good for music, far better than the 90's. As always though the good stuff has to be searched for.

Don't have time to make a proper 20 list but it would certainly include some Audioslave, Mogwai, Oceansize, Ryan Adams and Sigur Ros.

Surely Oracular Spectacular by MGMT should be in the top 20?

One of the best albums I've heard for years.
