That might be my fault. I bought some Journey stuff after seeing Rock of Ages in NYC that had a few Journey songs in it.

I'll get my coat...

There's a guy at work has Journey - Separate Ways as his ring tone. Must admit it raises a smile whenever it goes off.

I'm guessing that'll be the reason.

I saw Journey on tour this past summer, unfortunately Steve Perry is no longer the lead singer.

I have the Journey Greatest Hits CD and I am only slightly ashamed to admit it. Absolutely fantastic band!

He's no Steve Perry is he? Then again, not many people can match Steve's soaring tenor. Not ashamed to admit that Journey are one of my favourite bands. Good to see the song back in the charts again.....

I think you mean counter-counter-counter-counter-tenor. They are barely male vocal chords, but what a voice.

I know he isn't Steve Perry but when I saw them this year the new singer is pretty damn good and not too far off Perry.

Nice to see this doing well, terrific track. I actually think the first time I remember hearing it was at the end of the last Sopranos episode.

What was all that about on X-Factor with Dermot saying this song has a special place for people in the North East? Does it?

Great, great song. Very pleased it's in the 'charts'.

I do however, get strangely annoyed when hard-of-thinking types recognise the quality of a song just because some talentless oik on mainstream braindead TV happened to warble a poor imitation of it. I'm quite sure the same people putting it into the Top 40 now would have told you it's a crap song if you had previously played them the original.

Yes, yes. I know my feelings make little sense and I sound a bit deranged, but they're my opinions and I intend to type 'em out anyway...

Escape is one of my all time favourite albums...not a bad track on it, and Steve's vocals and Neil Schon's guitar work are stunning (imho)
