This may seem like an odd question but does anyone know of any decent albums that have just one track per side ?

Oasis - 'Be here now' could fall into that category. wink (Sorry, couldn't resist).

I've no idea what you mean though to be honest. In my book there are albums and there are 12" singles. Have I missed something over the years? confused

Can't think of any with only two.

Jean Michelle Jarre - Waiting For Cousteau

Had four tracks, three 7/8 minutes, then a huge 45 minute piece.

The following Tangerine Dream albums have one track per side:
Ricochet, Tangram Quichotte / Pergamon (single albums, two tracks)
Poland, Encore, Zeit (double albums, four tracks)
Logos has two tracks but one of them spans both sides of an LP and the other is about 5 minutes long and is on the end of side two.

Music for 18 musicians by Steve Reich has one track with with a break enforced by the need to turn the LP over. The break is absent on the CD giving one track, length 56 minutes (on the original ECM release, more recent recordings are slightly longer).

Before the Marillion album Misplaced Childhood was released, Fish declared at concerts that it would have two tracks, once called side one and the other called side two. As it turned out, while there were no gaps between the songs they were labelled as different tracks.

Yes' Tales From Topographic Oceans is a double album with one track per LP side, so four tracks around 20 minutes each.

Ancestor's Neptune With Fire is a recent two track album that's available on vinyl.

It doesn't have two tracks, but a CD album with just one track on a side is Fantomas' Delirium Cordia, 74 minutes of weirdness.

Rush - 2112 & Hemispheres
Pink Floyd - Echoes (on Meddle)
Porcupine Tree - The Incident

In fact... most prog rock bands have one!

Amarok by Mike Oldfield has only ONE 60 minute track.

It's a masterpiece, by the way.

Ok, not quite the same, but, Lovesexy - Prince.

Listed as separate tracks but comes up as 1 46min track on the CD.

Not so easy to put on one side of a C90 maybe...

Wrong thread; you're looking for 'Which albums have just 6 tracks, or 16 in the case of PT, or maybe 4 if you include Hemispheres.'

Thanks guys.... Well the reason was .... I'm ripping the old Vinyl to MP3 and decided to have a look on play to see if I could buy some of the Albums as an easy option.

Found Tubular Bells and they charge about £7 odd for the album or 70p per track !!

Result I think. SO....... Sticks post on Pistonheads and go's ahead to buy a few Vangelis, Oldfield and Jarre tracks to create the Albums.

After ages of messing about check out and ..... You guessed it. It wownt let me. Fair enough you dont get a anything for nothing but WTF cant they sort their system out and take the individual tracks off the lazy $astards ?
