mans a legend, and i want to see him. he's touring at the end of the month but with tickets at £51 + BF. i really don't imagine he;s got enough energy and talent left for him to be worth that outlay. anyone know different?

I've not seen him but I am going. I saw a fairly recent gig on the telly a while back; he seemed to have enough energy then and his interaction with the audience was brilliant.

I saw him in '87 and he wasn't exactly animated then. Brilliant, though.

i missed him last year [?] when he played the maryport blues fest. the ticket for myself is one thing, convincing a mate to stump up the price and be sorely disappointed is another. have heard very mixed reviews.

I saw him 20 years ago and we was getting on a bit even back then smile Great show though! He must be about 90 now?

Worth a ticket I should think. Sad to say but when they get to that age you never know if it's your last chance...

I saw him at Maryport Blues festival last year - he was excellent and quite animated too. He certainly looks a good 20 years younger than his true age and his backing band included his son & daughter who are both very talented.

I'm hoping they get Imelda May for next year.

Like many of the original rock'n'rollers he will perform a timed show, because that is how they have always done it - expect no more than 45-60 minutes and you will not be disappointed.
