Now out of hospital.

Thank goodness.

A hero, and the soundtrack to my life.

+1

Ironically I got my tickets through today for next week's gig at Alexandra Palace, but I can't see that happening.
Glad he's on the mend though.

It did happen.
And he seemed fine.

I despise Morrissey intensely. Everything about him, from his music to his interview persona, is so utterly annoying that I can't express it in words.

BUT well done him for walking off. No way should he accept that, and as another poster indicated, no way should there be refunds. If people can't f*cking behave he can't put on a show.

He was the song writer and singer in a band that kick started a new genre of music, and get namechecked by countless bands as an influence. I think he's great.

But each to there own. Girls Aloud have sold bucketloads of records and I think they're st!

Moz does seem to have this effect on people you either love the man or hate him very few people have a grey area when it comes to him or his music, I am firmly in the love/worship brigade (my sons middle name is Morrissey) and as mentioned by Libertine the lead man in the most important and influential band of the 80's and in my eyes the last 20 years, comparing The Smith to the Beatles (in a purely musical comparison) is like comparing Ice Cream to Horse Manure.

Interested what it is that makes you hate the man so much? not having a pop I am always interested to find out why when I meet/talk to people with very anti-moz feelings.

Totally agree, 10/10 to him for leaving.

I'm really surprised (not to mention disappointed) the culprit wasn't lynched.

I think venue security feel much less able to tackle bad behaviour now through fear of legal action against themselves or the venue. There certainly seem to be a lot more pi**ed up d***heads shouting and throwing beer around at gigs I've been to recently.

I don't "hate" him, but:

The man himself - whenever he's interviewed he tries way too hard to come across as interesting and different, thereby making the interview awkward and difficult. I realise it may not be his choice, but on the face of it, if you don't like interviews, don't do them.

The music - musically, it's not what I like, I prefer different stuff, but that's not his fault. My problem is the sheer angsty whinginess that is his trademark. "I would go out tonight. But I haven't got a stitch to weeeeeaaaaaaarrrrr....." Oh do fk off.

Sorry, but that about sums it up for me. I'm sure he's a great guy, I don't know him personally. And I still think well done him for walking off, he's done exactly the right thing. Anyone suggesting, as I think someone did, what he should get used to it needs to have their head examined (not necessarily with a bottle) biggrin

So am I. Shame. He deserves to be kicked to death.
