Yes it is. Get Debaser, This Monkey's gone to heaven, U-Mass.... for starters.... They're probably one of the most influential bands of the 80s/90s.

Yes, they are amazing and very influential. Pick up Surfer Rosa and Doolittle for starters.

I'm also a big Pixies fan. Their stuff still sound pretty fresh now - it's hard to believe it was 20 years ago.

I'm pretty certain I bought a CD with both of these albums on - bargain!

Would have loved to have seen them back then, fantastic band.

And Throwing Muses. Some of her solo stuff is great.

I must be one of the few people who prefers Frank Black's solo stuff to The Pixies. Check out Cult of Ray and Teenager of the year.

Kim Deal may have been in The Pixies, but she didn't write any of the songs.

Not true.

Seeing them on Sunday, woot!

She may not have written much mind...and by "not much" I do mean, really not much

More likely it was Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa.

Am debating with myself whether to get Minotaur...or be really stupid and get the limited edition.

Just get the Best Of (I think it's called called "Death To The Pixies") to begin with, and go from there.

According to Frank Black "maybe half of one song."

Enjoy the gig.

Get your hands on Doolittle.
20th Anniversary of it is this year, and they are playing a few gigs to honour it.
Guess who has tickets? biggrin

Don't forget, whenever you are speaking to a real Pixies fan, tell them you love the band and then say your favourite song is 'that one in Fight Club'. This seems to drive them all into a frenzy of frothing anger...
