Oh you naught boy for tempting me so. I love all things Jackson/Charvel, and was just this weekend contemplating my next pointy headstock purchase from the masters or Metal riffage smile Was looking at a DK1 or a DK2M (the latter of which i think looks gorgeous in white with the light maple neck) but this Adrian Smith weapon does look the bees knees too. I would go for the white scratchplate model

I would think at this price point it will be the US.

That's funny, at that price point I'd think that was definately NOT the US.

I might be missing something but I don't know of any US made superStrats that don't come in at £3000-£4000.

You may be right. I was just thinking that the Japansese Jacksons am aware of fall into the £300 to £1000 bracket. I am not sure where the DK1s are made, as they are rather pricey

ETA - definitely USA - http://www.musicradar.com/gear/all/guitars/electri...

Well I picked it (her?) up yesterday after a five month order (sold out world wide eek). It looks the business, is perfectly balanced and plays like a dream. The pick ups are very forgiving and has a lovely versatile tone, both through distortion and clean. Nice wide fingerboard with jumbo frets. I've never played an ebony fingerboard before, and have fallen in love with this wood. Ahhhh back to the 80s music

Certainly is! That axe needs plugging into an amp cranked up to 11 so you can play the Phantom of the Opera riff over and over again smile

Looks really, really nice.

Out of interest, how's the action over the first fret? I think this often gives an indication of the care taken in setup. It looks pretty good from what I can see in the photos.

That's lovely. I'm not usually a fan of Artist models but I would love one of those AS Jacksons.

To try is to love (biased but have yet to have anyone who's tried it to disagree).

Unless the store already has one, an order has to be put into the US and a few months later you'll have it (this is what the store told me where I got mine).
