Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what it is? I can't for the life of me work it out!
The second four bars of the intro are VERY 'In The Mood', so I'm thinking Glenn Miller, but I've so far had no luck finding it.

Anyone care to help me out?

Cheers,

Ben

I'm pretty sure that's not a Miller track - it's definitely not an original recording, and I don't recall ever playing it (and if I think I've got through Miller's entire repertoire in various big bands over the years!)

Sounds like a modern band and recording of "Tune 657 written in the 40s Glen Miller-ish Big Band Style", but I don't recognise it unforunately.

My thoughts too. I've played a fair bit of him myself in big bands and I didn't recognise it either, hence my coming here!

What instrumument do you play in these big bands?

I'm a sax player, either alto or tenor depending... I mainly play funk/soul these days, but it's good to keep my jazz and sight reading chops up in a good big band :-)
