I'm on the hunt for music that never fails to raise a smile, totally pure happy music. To start the ball rolling my two faves would be:

Stevie Wonder - For Once In My Life
The Lightning Seeds - Pure

I've been looking for stuff in a similar vain and love these 2 tracks, so it'll be interesting to hear what the PH masses think.

A bit sad, but it was the tune that seemed to be on everywhere when I went on holiday with my mates last week. I put it on a CD and when it's just one of those that brings a smile to your face when you turn it on.

For starters......

James Brown - I Got You

Lionel Ritchie - Dancing on the Ceiling

Pele - Megalomania

One2Many - Downtown (Love the piano solo!)

Slightly self-indulgent, but I gigged with this lot a couple of lifetimes ago Popinjays - Monster Mouth (Doesn't sound too dis-similar to Lightening Seeds "Life of Riley")

smile

I am - Questionable taste!

PS I haven't forgotten about the Elbow instrumental - have had a few negative responses, and am still waiting for a couple - although I heard/saw a promo on BBC1 a few nights ago, that used the full instrumental...... Tap up your contacts at Auntie if you have any.... my BBC TV contacts have drawn a blank so far, but am waiting for a producer mate at Radio 1 to get back to me.

Absolutely fooking brilliant.

I now need to go and dig out my "Best of Roachford" CD - I'd forgotten how good he was (is)

Ohhh, I loved Floote but 'Are You Normal' was always the fave in my eyes. Have you heard 'Live at Weird's Bar & Grill' by PWEI? Stonking stuff!
