I think "How to make friends and influence people" was the second CD I ever bought and its a cracking album, I still like them but that Tequila song that was popular was crap.
The one you'll know is the radio edit - the original is more of a classic guitar / folky number and rather good!I saw them last night at the Academy in Sheffield on the "How to Make Friends and influecne people 15 yr anniversary tour"
They were brilliant.
Really really good.
Played the full album start to finish, went off and then came back and played some other classics, Josephine, My House, odd version of tequila that i didn't enjoy particularly, Whales and Dolphins, a couple of brand new songs, If you wanna go faster, celebrity hitlist etc.
So So much energy for a bunch of however old they are now. couple of technical problems but nothing that spoilt anything.
If they are near you go and see them - for 15 quid it was well worth it.
Oh and if you want a t shirt buy one when you first get there, think they had about 50 whivh sold out in about 10 minutes.

my brother got me into them years back, and they were on at the cliffs in southend.
i had only listened to the album, and whilst waiting for my brother and his other half i knocked into a guy and spilt his pint, only to look up and think i know you, couldn't remember his name though.
anyway offered him another pint (he was fine about it) and accepted just before the doors opened.
now you have to remember we had been chatting like mates about groups, i still could not remember his name and hoped i would not have to call him by it, as happens.
anyway him and his mates went one side of the hall i had to go the other side.
anyway got in, and stood and stared at the stage as the guy i had recognised, but couldn't remember was shutty on drums, i felt a right plank, i had been rabbiting away to him as if we had gone to school together. still he said thanks for the pint
