I'm a big fan of The Divine Comedy and Neil Hannon, so thought I'd give this new work of his a listen to. Only up to track 4 but it's great up to now. Anyone else got it?

I had the misfortune of hearing this on 5 live a while ago, I was kind of hoping theyd gone away.

Not to your taste then? What did you hear? Just one track?

I think they did a couple of songs, I dont like Hanlons voice at all and never have. The fact theyre named after something to do with cricket (a sport that can be played by fat people isnt a sport) annoyed me too.

That's what is great about taste, I think Neil Hannon has a great voice.

The band, and the first album, are named after a cricket scoring thing yeah, and all the tracks on the album are about cricket. It's a tongue-in-cheek thing. thumbup Jiggery Pokery is a great track.

I really enjoy listening to The Divine Comedy / Neil Hannon. But the Duckworth Lewis Method is disappointing all round. Maybe it's because I'm not into cricket, but the music never quite reaches that zone where you feel encapsulated by it. I'm sure cricket lovers will like it as a novelty, but that's about it.

Hopefully the forthcoming album will be back on form.
