what kinda mess is this, it makes no sense
so ive posted this comment:

im sorry. yes the song is catchy but the lyrics sound like she dropped a scabble box and THEN JUST SANG IT THEN JUST MADE RANDOM OHRARRR NOISES THEN THE GUYS IN THE STUDIO MADE A SONG OUT OF IT. what happend to real music?? surely real music is dead in the mainstream, only bands like muse and artic monkeys can save it now...and whoever thinks this is great are the type of people that reality tv was created for. utter dimwits who get amused easily. what does this song mean anyway?

im just waiting for the insults biggrin but i really do think music is dieing. the passion is thats for sure, its just income for the rich now.frown

I think the song would have been in Spanish originally so that won't help matters.

Not sure about all the vocal effects, not my taste. She can sing very well naturally though.
Remember the Beatles used funny vocal effects too though.

Plenty enough good music out there if you look for it.

Just need to convince more people to pay for it now.

Oh, unintelligible lyrics have been going on for years

"If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now. It's just a spring clean for the May Queen"

But if there is one thing that does boil my piss about modern tunes, is artificial "chorusing" of a singer's voice.

Totally agree with the OP. A nice tune, spoiled.

On the other hand music has been dead almost as long as John Lennon. The art of music making was somehow lost years ago.

It doesn't help that the 'artist' actually has no input to the product these days. And let's face it, if you were a composer and were asked to write something for some pop bimbo to ruin, would you give her your best song? Or some old rubbish you had lying around that no-one else wanted?

Really? Music's been dead that long - hmm I not so sure. Sure there is a sea of mediocre (at best) tripe out there but there is still evolution and some absolutely superb music is being produced even now.

If PH as around "back then" I can see people posting music is dead and a link to a grainy film of 4 blokes with bad haircuts playing in a cellar and people saying yes well it died just after Mozart.

Never, ever, ever read YouTube comments.

The mental discomfort just isn't worth it.

There was plenty of crap music in the 60s. 70s and 80s. The charts have always been full of mass produced ste designed to make a profit. However it doesn't matter what genre you're into, you won't have to dig far to find good, original bands.

rofl

I agree there's no shortage of crap music about, but that's always been the case. And morons will always buy it as well.

Incidentally, Youtube commenters have to be the biggest collection of retards and social inadequates on the internet, surely? It's even worse than the IMDB boards...

yes

I can think of a couple of '60s records just off the top of my head held up as part of the "greatest records ever" pantheon that bombed on original release.

I think the problem is commercial radio and music television (and in this I count the BBC stations where they try to compete) more than anything else - there are a few "classic" stations and/or programmes, and outside of the odd graveyard shift they play some right wonky old st too.

I'm also sure everyone views the music that was about when they were young through an entire Jessops' worth of rose-tinted filters, there's no way on this Earth all that murky '90s indie can be half as good as I've convinced myself it is. :-)
