My rusty guitar skills are slowly improving,i can play the main solo from queens bohemian rhapsody pretty well ,parisiene walkways by gary moore (most of it) and also the solo from stairway to heaven (not quite as well)

Looking for a solo to learn that sounds nice as a standalone peice-no crazy finger tapping or harmonics though!
Any suggestions ?

Sugar Mice - Marillion (easy G-major)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Floyd (easier to play than it sounds)
Hideaway - Eric Clapton (tricky in places for me, with Eric's usual major-minor pentatonic combinations)
Still In Love With You - Lizzy (live with solo by John Sykes)
Fleetwod Mac - Need Your Love So Bad

Peter Frampton - Do you feel like I do.

Even if you don't find it melodic, you'll learn tons from his timing.

Most of Gary Moore's stuff when he's in " Still Got The Blues " or " Parisienne Walkways " mode.

There's dozens of really good solo's around but a simple one that I really enjoy is on Forest Fire by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions...
