I believe they were live in the studio as the BBC were covering the mission. On one of the special BBC programs they have done about the moon I think you see the camera pan past them on its way to the presenters at their desk.
Unfortunately it could be the case that there is no copy of it. The BBC wiped and re-used lots of old tapes due to them being expensive. That is why there are missing episodes of Doctor Who, Dads Army, Steptoe and Son etc. and not much of the BBC moon landing coverage.
The only hope may be in that somebody took the tapes or somebody had some sort of home recording kit.
