Vinyl record shops.
Discussion
I used to raid (up until a couple of years ago) 'Music and Video Exchange' in whatever big city I happened to be in at the time and frequently got some vinyl gems... They'd often reduce stuff to bargain prices, presumably just to keep the stock moving - I'd hazard a guess that they're still around and worth a look in?

Anyone know any good shops that sell loads of vinyl? Central London would be a good start, but don't go that often. I live in herts and am prepared to travel. I have seen one in Henley, any good? I'm into everything from classical to metal.
The one in Henley is dire, one of the few record shops I have been in and come out wth nothing. Very MOR stock, nothing after 1970, no punk / new-wave, no dance etc, Some classical, but nothing special,As others had said, Bewick Steet / Poland Street Soho has about 6 vinyl shops, incl several 2nd hand like Revival and M&VE.
There is a set of dance / rock / classical MV&E in Notting Hill and in Camden High Street too, and a specialist metal / goth / industrial one, Ressurection records, and a punk one All Ages, and a few variety stores.
Flashback and Haggle in Islington.
Other major vinyl hubs are central Birm, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, are you a traveller?

Yes, I used to go to Kingston a lot, when there used to be 5 vinyl shops.
Beggars Banquet is not bad, a mix of House, Groove, Funk, Indie and Alt.Rock.
They used to have a straggled haired Nu-electro RSA, and I got lots of Sooth London electro there.
I think there is still a 2nd hand shop 'Collectors Record Centre' that had a selection of rock and pop viyl.
Next town in the quiz?
