Dream Theater - Black Clouds and Silver Linings
Discussion
I have heard several thounsand albums in my time, and this is probably the most amazing album I have EVER had the pleasure to listen to. It is truely, absolutely epic and completely memorable.
If you have any interest in metal, any interest in guitar/drum/bass/keyboard virtuosos, any interest in anything progressive then you NEED to hear this album. It is mind blowing. They are one of the very VERY few bands that can make a massively long song but be so spot on and accurate with the sections and how they sound that you don't even notice how long it is, it just all sounds... perfect.
The band is so tight, the music is so clever. The fundamentals of this album is what all music should be based on, but so very few artists/bands/solo artists fail at getting it right.
Slow, fast, simple, complex, heart-felt, mind numbing anger, this album has it all.
Now if you'll exuse me, I'm going to put it on repeat and listen to it till I have to go out.

Love that album!Pink Floyds influence on Dream Theater is very obvious in this album in some long in some long chilled, slightly trippy instrumental sections. They of course do it extremely well.
