Good guitar shop in central London?

All the places I used to go seem to be closed down - House of Guitars near Aldgate, Turnkey on Tottenham Court Road. Where's the best place to go to try out a load of guitars and then walk out with one without having to order it / wait for delivery?

Denmark Street I would have thought. Still quite a few decent shops there.

Yep, still lots of shops in Denmark Street. My favourite shop there is Angel Music. It's only small and is on the 1st floor but it has loads of cool old stuff at reasonable prices. I've never bought anything off them though so I don't know what the buying experience is like.

Do your research before you go-sometimes the prices are comical to cater for the naive newly signed bands with record company advances to spend.

I remember seeing a Universe that had been battered more than the cod in my local chippy for £400 more than a new one.
