Bat For Lashes
Discussion
Watching Glastonbury on the Beeb last night I heard 'Daniel' by Bat for Lashes. It was so good I went and downloaded the album off Amazon and have been listening to it most of today.
Her voice is mesmerising and the lyrics are superb. I hadn't realised they were so popular. If you've yet to listen, try linky:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00ZHah-c0hQ

Out of all the "newer" acts on show there, I thought that she was the only one who could genuinely sing. The vocals were really no different to the album - actual real talent for once!
Alongside her fantastic drummer, who spotted Charlotte Hatherly (ex Ash) playing guitar?.

+1 regarding Charlotte Hatherly but only because of Mark Radcliffe mentioning it afterwards. Alongside her fantastic drummer, who spotted Charlotte Hatherly (ex Ash) playing guitar?.

Daniel is a cracking tune. I have the Two Suns and Fur and Gold albums. I like the tracks for their easy listening and sort of folky character but wouldn't sit and listen to it all the way through.
Daniel on the other hand is a superb track, just enough crossover into pop with those overly boosted bright vox that remind me of Fleetwood Mac around the pop / Tango in the Night era.
Awesome track, in fact, it's playing now...!
