Okay, i've got the 120w version, and im trying to get a sonic syndicate sort of sound, i've got a Dean razorback DB (not the best i know but ohwell...)
Can anyone give me any tips to getting a good sound?
Also while im here, I'll most likely be changing pickups in a couple months, any recommendations?
Any help appreciated

EMG 81 in bridge and 85 in the neck if you want active pickups and play metal.
Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat in the bridge and The Mule in the neck if you want passive pickups with a wonderful organic feel.

If you've the time and dosh you can take your guitar and amp to them and have them match pick ups to you instrument and requirements (or at least they used to do this). There loads of sound bites on the website as well that'll help you choose...

For my ears he's always been spot on.
Comparing my EMG'd guitars with my PRS C24 with CS and Mules pickups-both do the high gain thing very well. EMG are tighter and give a more clinical approach so work very well with those 80's style rack setups. The BKP not only cover the high gain stuff but they have a warmth and a quality to them that EMGs can't touch.
Whatever brand you buy you'll be happy with.
