Ok, so what was the best Stone Roses song?

Today I'm thinking "Elephant Stone".

Tomorrow it'll be something completely different.

Agreed...with the exception of Ten Storey Love Song (especially the guitar solo towards the end).

Musically it's Fool's gold, lyrically it's Waterfall, but then I've always liked Bye Bye Badman due to the disparity between the lyrics and the melody.

'Going Down' is a bit of a gem, too.

Stone Roses music in general has the magical ability to totally envelop me in nostalgia for my middle teens, especially the long summers, sun and cheap booze, drinking on the racecourse, camping in fields and back gardens, lazing around in the morning sun on dew soaked grass with no particular agenda for the time ahead..... Ah, good times....

Ooops, sorry, back from my nostalgia trip now.... getmecoat

Depends which record I'm listening to, Mersey Paradise and Sally Cinnamon from the early days, This Is The One and She Bangs The Drums from the first studio album, and I actually think How Do You Sleep is a great track from The Second Coming.

Sorry, no, can't pick one 'best song'!

I am the Ressurection.

Was the bridge between the two 'ages' of the Roses.

Waterfall for the guitar solo, or if we're talking guitar solos it has to be I am the resurrection music
