Stumbled on this little gem - a Hofner 'Shorty' - whilst looking for travel guitars.

Full size neck with a compact body. Surprisingly good tone from something so small. Neck plays a treat too.

The best part - it cost me a mere £85 and that included the soft case eekthumbup

Great for taking away with you and small enough to class as hand baggage.

My wife bought me a blue one for my 40th birthday :-) Great fun.

Only problem I have with it is soloing anywhere up the neck is difficult because it's very neck/head heaviy (obviously, as it has no body to speak of !) Got round that to a degree by using a guitar strap with a bit of string, instead of using the stud on the body, tie the strap to the headstock. Better, if not perfect.

Agree with that - very tiring to play without a strap, but a great little bargain.
