.....

(sorry, started to rant about people having more of an active interest in watches than music...
Think I'm pissing in the wind.)

Dear 2bit,

I have my grandfather's half-hunter, does that make me any less of a music lover?

Anyway an on-topic thought:
Downloads are rubbish, it's got to be a disc/disk - discuss.

I am firmly in the latter camp;
encoding sounds awful and I want a real thing that I can hold, oh, and have all the rights I need to use the songs as I wish,

regards,
Jet

Downloads, where's the challenge in that? I much prefer spending hours trying to line up a new cartridge on the turntable. Took me a week on and off the last time. Still not 100% sure, there's a bit at the end of side one of The Royal Scam that sounds slightly muffled

I'm finding myself drawn to the German brands such as Glashutte Original and A. Lange & Sohne.

What do you think?

There is absolutely no shame, in "Music" having less posts than "Watches".

We, the elite do not seek to pander to the lumpen masses.

I quite like watches but the soundtrack is a bit monotonous.

Give me a bit of vinyl any day.

Anyone can go into a shop and buy a watch; you can't just go into a shop and buy mu....

Oh hang on....

....

You don't need taste to buy a flash watch; people with no taste don't buy mu....

No. That's not right...

......

You can lead a horse to a watch shop; you can't make it tell the time?

No. That's not it.

You can listen to great music without wearing a watch!

woohoo

Little boy goes into his parents bedroom shouting " I want a watch, I want a watch". Father replies, "ok but sit still and be quiet..."

Friend of mine was a big steam train fan. When he got hit by one on a level crossing he was chuffed to bits...

I'm a drummer. I don't understand the concept of time, so don't need a watch.

Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.

Wheras talking about watches is like talking about watches. Or maybe very quiet cars.
