Dare I start this thread?

I'm dead excited, last year was my first year, camped right next to the Park Stage, which was a great location but I got so little sleep!

Was thinking of the Dragon Fields this year, like a bit of hippy action, not too far away from the good stages (although a bit of a treck from the Dance tents).

Dead keen to see Blur reform - can't wait for their closing gig!

So... who else is going? Any favourites for camping fields. Might take the MGF!

We're going again this year. Until recently, we always were devotees of Pennards Hill.

Then we discovered the benefits of a campervan.... wink

Lightweight.

We're going again, this year will be my 10th, was going to be my final but then I saw what was being planned for next year so it will be 11 at least.

We always camp in Park Home Ground as Pennards just got too busy too early from 2000 onwards.

Its the 40 year anniversary and Emily wants an act from every year of Glasto to play next year.

I dont know if the members of The Animals are still alive but can you imagine The House of Rising Sun on the Pyramid Stage?

This year will be my first year. I cannot wait. Some say the line up is not so great but I don't think they get the whole 'Glastonbury' thing in that it is not always about the music. That is why I am also going to V Festival with that particular bunch of friends. The big benders.

I am particularly looking forward to experiencing the silent disco. Oh, and Blur!

Here's hoping that the weather is sunny for the five days and that I can sneak a giant, and hugely immature, cock and balls flag into my bag without my girlfriend seeing. I am sure my mother would be so proud if I could get that onto the BBC coverage!

Maybe The Rolling Stones will turn up finally? They've been rumoured for every one of those 40 years. hehe

Failed to pick up a ticket this time (missed the boat for registeration and then discovered no one I knew was bothering this year anyway frown) Hopefully I'll be there to watch House Of The Rising Sun though.

Cheers - we weren't going to bother next year as it involves a 12 hour flight to get there.... but the 40th anniversary festival should be an even bigger party than usual....!

Line up is out then, not truly amazing, unless you're into bands from the 70s.

Saturday in Dance East though, is a work of pure genius - will make the whole weekend (including Bjorn Again) worthwhile!

Yep seriously clucking for it now. Bought my ticket a week ago, there are still some on the site accasionally - keep checking, you might be lucky!

Will be somewhere near the Dragon field, I think - not camped there before so gonna give it a go.

Campervans rock. I took my old 72 Bay, we had a blast. Brilliant getting back to the van at the end of the night, to a carpetted awning, 240v, a chandolier(!), gas stove, 6 speaker radio, shower out the back, somewhere comfy to sit and, er, socialise, and security for your stuff!

Back in tents now tho...

If it wasn't Glastonbury the line would be a complete joke, no where else could get away with it.
