Cool, don't worry you are not alone! I went to the Holmfirth one last night and it was excellent, how was the Harrogate one ?
I must admit to have been pleasantly surprised.I expected 2 hours of bland 80's rubbish (It's the missus who likes then really) but instead got a great mix of ELP,Yes and King Crimson too...the place was full to the rafters and it was a good atmosphere...I never really rated Asia but did (and still do) like Yes ,ELP etc..Would I go again...yes,definitely....how big is the Picturedrome at Holmfirth..thay've started to put a few gis on there now haven't they?esselte said:

I agree that it was a very good mix of the old and new with a couple of classics in for good measure and was great to see Steve Howe perform Roundabout and I thought they didn't appear to take themselves too seriously and I was amused by Carl Palmer's drum solo ! I guess they know how to please the crowd. The Picturedrome was also full to the rafters as it was a sell-out and it seemed a perfect intimate size for a gig and great to get that close to the stage, I was about the third/fourth row of people back. It was my first time at the Picturedrome and it does appear to have a line up of bands this year, though mainly cover bands (was tempted with Think Floyd ).
I'm sure it could be a great venue just needs to improve the interior building-in-progress/scaffolding look but if they get the bands the people will come...

Asia.
There is a confessions thread running - did you miss it?
You may mock, but I am also going to confess to a soft spot for Asia. In fact their '82 gig at Wembley was my first ever. There is a confessions thread running - did you miss it?
My first gig was 'Showaddywaddy' at Bournemouth Winter Gardens (aged 12).
You don't need to know the year.
