Is that the Italian Job (original) song at the beginning? If it is, good tune, but not the sorta thing I'm looking for - was looking for something a bit more rocky (if that's a word!!)Cheers

There is definately a thread already going in General gassing but I cannot find it.
Anyway. Depends on the situation.
General - Any 70's 80's & 90's Hair rock, power ballads, classic rock etc. Basically just Planet Rock Radio.
Hot Summer Evenings - Late 80's, Early Nineties Hip Hop, Run DMC, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg etc. Can't beat 'Still Dre' blaring out.
Good Thrash - 90's and early 00's Punk, Grunge, Thrash/Rap metal.

If I had a decent car for driving in, then at the moment I'd be mostly listening to this;

But I haven't got a decent car, so I can't...
"Cos you got to rock motherfker, Yeah!"

Shoot me down for this one, but I always found Belinda Carlisle's Runaway Horses a great song to listen to while driving a great car down a great road.

In an effort to regain some credibility I also put forward The Doors: Riders on the storm

I don't know why, but my fondest memories of Griffith 500 ownership are of thumping my way down the A329M on a particularly ice-cold crisp blue morning, roof down, making my ears bleed listening to 'Down Payment Blues'....there's something about that vintage AC/DC sound - I think Bon Scott knew he wasn't ever going to be drawing an old age pension. Edgy....very edgy.
Depends
For a relaxed nighttime long distance mile eating cruise it has to be a mixture of Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Oceansize and a bit of Cream thrown in for good measure
For blasts and thrashes it will be a mixture of hard trance, daft punk, digitalism and a bit of grimewave (dave spoon remix of flex, bit of wiley, stuff like that)

Like a few have said - depends...
If I'm mile munching I'll have some Lloyd Cole on, if I'm off out - some Fratelli's or Stereophonics, if I want to chill - a bit of Roddy Frame or if I'm off to sack someone - Dead Kennedys or Rage Against The Machine (oh the irony) to get me in the mood...
