Easy songs to play for two guitars

I've kind of got myself (and my brother) in a hole and suggested that we could play two or three songs at my mum's birthday party. The only problem is that we're both a bit crap. I can do a load of chord stuff and he can just about throw some more interesting widdly bits in. Can anyone suggest any songs we can look up and learn that are easy to play and sound ok with just a couple of electric guitars. She's 65 so I guess we're looking at stuff like the beatles, johnny cash, bob dylan... essentially anything melodic.

I can't believe I got us in to this and my brother's not massively pleased but mum will be absolutely made up if we do it... it's not like we don't want to do it but we just don't really want to do it

plenty of begineer stuff
learnt tracy chapman -fast cars and coldplay-trouble both nice and easy to play
