Anyone seen it?

Anyone going?

Looks like a very cool alternative to Download this year...

...oh, and what is it with ever-increasing 'booking fees'?!? A £132.50 ticket suddenly, after adding £11.50 booking fee, £10 car parking, £1.25 car-parking booking fee and £4.95 transaction fee/postage, has become £160.20. Cute eh?

At half the price I might be tempted.

I'm going to Bloodstock, no particular big names but some bands I really want to see and I'd expect a better atmosphere.

I'd be interested if/when they start selling day tickets, though even that will depend on who's on the same day as Metallica (ideally Avenged Sevenfold & Airbourne).

I hear that Knebworth is a nightmare when it comes to leaving the site at the end of the day, with stories of people taking 4 or 5 hours just to get out of the car park. Can anyone confirm this?

Rang them the other day as the wife's only interested in a couple of bands.

I was TOLD (not sure if sales spiel or genuine) that they've no plans to offer day-tickets as the weekend ones are selling well-enough and their intention was for it to be a weekend camping festival.

Parking? That may explain why they're charging to park - try and reduce the amount of traffic. Will not be happy though if I pay for a parking space then end up in a massive jam at the end of each night...

Going on Sunday only - looking forward to NIN and seeing Alice in Chains with their new singer - the new single is very good...

As for NIN it will apparantly be their last ever European Live Show!

I am sure Metallica will put on a good show, even though I though they haven't written much in the way of decent material since the Black Album...

Cool. Saw AIC with the new frontman 2 years ago @ Download...he was very good - enough of himself not to try and copy Layne, but not too different that the songs lose the feeling they had... Not heard the single though...will check that out tonight! biggrin

NIN - saw them @ the O2 the other week - very good, nice mix of stuff...and Gary Numan, of course!

Metallica - agreed, hope they put on a festival show not a tour show, i.e. a lot of the old favourites!

Saturday only for me, not even vaguely interesting in seeing Metallica etc, I want to keep the memories of seeing them as a relevant band rather than the joke they are now.

I know, but unfortunately it's both my anniversary and my daughters birthday that weekend.

I'm not that brave. hehe

If you want a weekend ticket, e-mail me - I'll give you my ref'ce number and we'll both get access to the Friday night party they're holding.

But yes, I'm pretty sure there's day-tickets available too...

Hate me most of all. Mate swagged a couple of free tix and we rolled up on the sunday. And we parked all day in stevenage station for 80p & got the free park'n'ride, instead of £20 at the festival site. brilliant.

Mind, if I'd realised Bush was doing a one-off special with Anthrax I'd have rolled up for that one too. Gutted. Hope they kiss and make up and tour and make more lovely music...
